Vespa School

This is where to start when looking at scooters. Top speed is 38-40MPH. Gas mileage is between 85 and 105 MPG. Engine displacement is actually 49cc so a Motorcycle license is not required. This scooter is great on short trips to the store or for running errands. Lot's of fun too and very easy to park.
This is the very popular Yamaha 49 cc Vino with it's great Italian look
And this is a"The Classic" scooter of all time The Vespa 49cc, better known as the LX50.
The next segment of scooters provide a little more traveling versatility. The 125cc to 150cc models such as the Yamaha Vino, Zuma, Piaggio Fly and the Vespa LX will reach a maximum speed of 55 to 62 MPH. Great for work or play. You will need a motorcycle endorsement. You can get all the information on the various schools simply by clicking on our "Links" section and selecting our education category.
125cc to 150cc scooters Top Speed-55-62 MPH...Gas mileage-68-80 MPG.
Now forget everything you thought you knew about scooters. The next segment can take you anywhere...from street to highway. Models like the Vespa GTS. The Piaggio BV 250 AND 500, The Yamaha Majesty and the MP3 can reach maximum speeds of 90 MPH and get up to 78 miles per gallon. Economy, style and performance are the main reasons for purchasing a unit in this category.
